Legacy Leaders: A Civic Leadership Cohort

    About the Cohort

    Through this intensive 10-month leadership development program, teens and young adult leaders will gain the baseline tools and knowledge they need to learn how to increase civic participation and individual impact in community spaces, preparing them to hold leadership roles in public and the nonprofit sector from a political perspective.
    This cohort program centers on Civic Leadership in Indianapolis with a focus on some of the challenges faced by the Black and Brown community. It is designed to bolster civic leadership capabilities and empower young individuals to be prepared and equipped to drive positive change within Indianapolis.

    Interested in learning more?

    The program will specifically aim to serve African Americans with intention to support emerging leaders throughout Marion County, teaching them how to lead effectively within the community by providing knowledge, access, and the ability to engage with and be heard by city leadership. Incentive-wise, equitable resources may also be leveraged, possibly offering internship, career, and possible campaign support as overall outcomes for program participation.
